Taittinger Champagne, Taittinger is a family of French wines, famous producers of champagne. The estate is currently managed by Vitalie Taittinger, the daughter of Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger, a member of the Banque de France’s advisory committee.
Taittinger Champagne Brut, Taittinger Champagne’s origins date back to 1734 when Jacques Fourneaux founded the original House. Around 1912, Pierre Taittinger and one of his brothers-in-law ran a Champagne distribution and export business. As a young cavalry officer in the 1st World War, Pierre spent much time in the Champagne area where he was stationed near Epernay. He fell in love with the vineyards and bought the property and its vineyards from Fourneaux in 1932.
Taittinger Champagne,Taittinger is family owned with the Taittinger headquarters in Reims, situated above magnificent 4th Century Roman cellars and run by Claude Taittinger (Pierre’s son). The flagship wines of the house are the Comtes de Champagne (100% Chardonnay) and Comtes de Champagne Rosé (100% Pinot Noir), both available at The Champagne Company along with Taittinger Brut Reserve and Taittinger Nocturne.

Our signature cuvée, Taittinger Brut Réserve, is assembled from more than 35 crus and incorporates 40% Chardonnay – this high proportion is seldom offered in a non-vintage Champagne. Distinguished by a delicate nose marked by subtle brioche notes, it has a palate of considerable depth and balance with hints of honey and fresh fruit.

Taittinger Brut La Francaise, The Champagne wine region is famous for its excellent sparkling wines. It is the most northerly wine growing region in France and its unique chalky soils and climate provide ideal growing conditions. The grapes for the Brut Réserve come from prime vineyards throughout Champagne, with approximately 50% coming from the Taittinger Estate.
Taittinger Champagne Brut, Produced each year from first pressings of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, this is the definitive cuvée of Champagne Taittinger and is a carefully balanced blend of wine from more than 35 crus. It also includes a proportion of reserve wine to ensure consistency from year to year. Prior to release, the Brut Réserve is aged for 3-4 years giving the wine depth whilst allowing the component parts to become fully integrated.
